About the library

The national local history library was opened on August 30, 2006 to the 40th anniversary of the city. It was formed by merging the national local history Department of the Central library. G. Tukai and Tatar library named after Kol Gali-branch- № 30. The library covers an area of 361 sq. m.
The book Fund of the library is 22,652 books, about half of them are in the Tatar language, there is also literature in Russian, Chuvash, Bashkir, Mari, Mordovian and other languages.
There is a huge Fund of literature about the Republic of Tatarstan, about our city, district and Volga republics. The library writes out and keeps more than 80 names of the Newspapers and magazines leaving in the territory of Tatarstan. Sheet sets of local Newspapers "Tugan Yak", "Nizhnekamsk Pravda" have been kept since 1970 and are of great historical value.
