At the heart of any fascinating story — whether it is a fairy tale, a myth, a plot for a novel or a screenplay — is the journey of the hero: internal or external. This idea became a guiding light for Christopher Vogler when, working in the script department of the Disney studio, he tested the effectiveness of the mythological schemes described in Campbell's famous work "The Thousand-Faced Hero". It is the book of this author, which is called "The Writer's Travels", that will be discussed at the next meeting of the visitors of the Prometheus Club. In the conversation "Mythological structures in literature and cinema", the club members will talk about the shaky boundaries between myth and the modern art of storytelling, warning about the difficulties and dangers of traveling into the depths of one's own soul.
