January 27 is the International Holocaust Remembrance Day. Readers will get acquainted with the historical events of 1945, when Soviet troops liberated prisoners of the Nazi concentration camp Auschwitz. Library visitors will discover the literary world of the works "The Boy in Striped Pajamas" by John Boyne, "Schindler's List" by Thomas Kenneely, "Babi Yar" by Anatoly Kuznetsov. In them, the authors reveal the topic of the genocide of the Jewish people and tell about the fate of people who proved by their own example a simple truth: even in the most terrible time, a person can remain Human. The demonstration of booktrailer footage and fragments of filmed films will give the younger generation an opportunity to reflect on the value of human life.
