In 2023, Russian Mother's Day will take place on November 26. More than 20 countries around the world celebrate Mother's Day on the second Sunday in May. These include the USA, Canada, Germany, Italy, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, Estonia, Turkey, Japan, Brazil and Australia. International Mother's Day in 2023 will fall on May 14th.
Mother's Day in Russia is a fairly young holiday; on January 30, 1998, it was established by the President of the Russian Federation. Gradually, the tradition of celebrating this day is taking root, and why not, because at all times, mother was and remains the most important and closest person for each of us.
Mother is a universal concept, it is the living soul of the world, its beginning and its infinity.
It is impossible to argue with the fact that this holiday is a holiday of eternity. From generation to generation, for every person, mother is the most important person in life. Becoming a mother, a woman discovers the best qualities in herself: kindness, love, care, patience and self-sacrifice.
