August 27 in Russia marks the Day of Russian cinema - a professional holiday of filmmakers and all those who support and love Russian cinema. It is established by decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR No. 3018-X of October 1, 1980 "On Holidays and Memorable Days" as amended by decree of the Supreme Council of the USSR No. 9724-XI of November 1, 1988 "On Amending the Legislation of the USSR on Holidays and Memorials ".
