Librarianship contest results announced in the National library of the Republic of Tatarstan

On March 24, 2017 the organizing committee comprising the representatives from the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Tatarstan and the largest republican libraries (The National library of RT, Republican Youth library, Republican Children’s library, Republican specialized library for the blind and visually impaired) held a final session.

In 2016 the organizing committee received 23 applications from 15 Centralized library systems (2 for “Leader” and 21 for “Creative search” awards).

The “Leader” award went to “Vysokogorsky CLS” for realization of the project aimed at engaging readers.

The “Creative search” award winners:

• The Central library of Nurlatsky district won the “Central library” nomination for setting up the project “Books are building friendship” within the “Harmony in diversity” discussion club.
• The branch library №3 of Central library of Bugulminsky district won the “City library” nomination for the opening and running the club called “We say yes to health!”.
• Yanilsky village branch library №44 of Kukmorsky district won the “Village library” nomination for the project called “Theatre is the best means of reading promotion”.

Letters of appreciation for development of innovations were presented to CLS of Almetyevsky district and Sharmashinsky village library of Tyulyachinsky district.

The “Leader” and “Creative search” awards were established by the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Tatarstan in 2000 in order to develop creative and innovative activity of librarians, promote their professional experience aimed at preservation of the best traditions and development of librarianship in the Republic of Tatarstan.
