Today is a Day of Remembrance and Mourning. On June 22, 1941, early in the morning, without a declaration of war, Nazi Germany attacked our Homeland. The Great Patriotic War began. But in human memory, the fateful date of June 22, 1941 remained not just as a date, but as a milestone, the beginning of the long 1418 days of the Great Patriotic War.
