The name of this technique comes from the French word gratter, which means "scratch, scratch". It has another name – wax printing. In Russia, this technique was called grattography, it was very suitable for the embodiment of fantastic and expressive ideas.

Krugopolskaya Rural Library, within the framework of the Pushkin Map project, invites you to a master class on drawing in the grattage technique, where participants will not only be able to get acquainted with the history of non–traditional drawing techniques, but also create their own unique painting.
