In modern conditions, the Sabantuy holiday is a national holiday of the Tatars. The name of the holiday is associated with the attributes of the spring agricultural holiday, in which "saban" is a symbol of "spring", the awakening of nature", "arable land", "plow", "first furrow", "sowing of spring crops", and "tui" is associated with "celebration", "celebration". The beginning of the tradition to celebrate the end of spring field work was laid by a cult rite: people cajoled the spirits of fertility so that the next year would be fruitful.
