The military blockade of the city of Leningrad by German and Finnish troops and their allies during the Great Patriotic War lasted from September 8, 1941 to January 27, 1944 (the blockade ring was broken on January 18, 1943) — the blockade lasted 872 days.

In literature and on monuments, there is a rounding — 900 days and nights.

It is planned to arrange a book and illustrative memorial exhibition "The Road of Life of Besieged Leningrad" in the Ishteryakovskaya rural library, dedicated to the liberation of the city of Leningrad from the Nazi blockade. The exhibition presents books and illustrative materials telling about the unprecedented feat of Leningrad, besieged by the Nazis, about the courage and heroism of its inhabitants who managed to withstand the inhumane conditions of the blockade, who survived terrible hunger, suffering, and the death of loved ones.
