On January 27, Library and Information Center No. 1 invites readers to the requiem evening "One breath with Leningrad", dedicated to the day of lifting the siege of Leningrad from the Nazi occupation. Leningrad is a hero city! During the evening, a video chronicle about the courage and perseverance of Leningraders will be shown, which will allow participants to feel the atmosphere of that time, the pain experienced during the days of the unprecedented blockade in history. The librarian will tell the children about the ordeal of the besieged city, the "Road of Life", what a 125-gram piece of blockade bread was, which was received on bread cards, about Maxim the driver, who delivered tangerines to the New Year's matinee, risking his life. The guests will read poems written by O. Bergholts, N. Knushevitskaya, and Y. Voronova, who participated in the blockade. At the end of the event, high school students will listen to a fragment of Dmitry Shostakovich's seventh symphony "Leningradskaya", dedicated to the fight against fascism and the coming victory over the enemy.
