Joint electronic library catalogue of the Republic of Tatarstan

The national electronic library of the Republic of Tatarstan is the portal providing access to information-library services for the population of the republic on the basis of funds of public libraries of Tatarstan. It is a uniform window of access to all libraries’ resources at once.

The main aim of the portal is improvement of quality and efficiency of library-information service of users.

The basic services of the portal are:

• Access granting to corporate and local databases of libraries and the help information
• Search of documents in public libraries of the republic
• The document order in the chosen library
• The order of a printing copy of the document
• «Ask librarian» help service

The additional information on services is presented in "Inquiry" section.

The portal and services will develop stage by stage. The quantity of the libraries participating in the project (4 libraries in 2010) will increase. Information-library services rendered through a portal will be improved.

The ultimate goal is to provide each inhabitant of the republic with access to resources of any library.
