The Day of the Republic of Tatarstan is a holiday celebrated annually on August 30. On this day in 1990, the Supreme Soviet of the Republic adopted the declaration on the state sovereignty of the Tatar SSR. It was an important step towards the formation of Tatarstan as a subject of the Russian Federation with broad rights and opportunities. ... By this date, a book exhibition will be held in the Ilbukhta Library. The book exhibition will feature various books about our republic, telling about the history of Tatarstan, its symbols, multinational culture and traditions of peoples.
