July 1, 2024 is the 220th anniversary of the birth of the French writer George Sand. George Sand, aka Aurora Dupin, is a great French writer who spent her whole life "hiding" under a male pseudonym. The author of numerous romance novels, George Sand has entered the history of French literature. Numerous poems, letters, dramas and novels are the legacy of the writer, which is carefully preserved in her native France. Ms. Sand's books are studied in schools and universities, they glorify France and are considered the cultural heritage of the country. In the cinema, you can find autobiographical tapes about the writer. There are also many film adaptations of her novels.
