How it all began

A Brief History of the Central Children's Library.

            September 18, 1967 3-room apartment with an area of 42 sq.m. a five-storey residential building opened a library for children. Its book fund was then 2830 copies. In small rooms, where the subscription and a reading room, a few shelves with books, going to a lot of readers-the children of pioneers, builders of Nizhnekamsk. There were readers' conferences, book discussions, unforgettable meeting with veterans of the Great Patriotic War, held loud reading, fun pop stars and literary games.

            The first head of the library was Nehoroshkova Antonina.

            In 1977, when the centralization of libraries, this library has received the status of the Central Children's Library. From 1977 to 1983 he headed the team of Maria G. Belyaev, who initially worked in the library reading room head.

            But most importantly, it is the readers, every year there are 52471 people. This reluctant children, parents, teachers. The doors are open to everyone who loves the book, is interested in reading, who is talented and inquisitive.

             From 1999 to the present day at the library operates a literary club for younger readers, "Honor-ka."

For those who love the Tatar literature, interested in the history and culture of the Tatar people in 2002 organized the club "Tamchy." Given the demands of the time, the Central Children's Library design programs and worked in different directions:
