"Childhood scorched by war"

A meeting with wartime children "Childhood scorched by war" was organized in the library. The war has left its deep mark on the memory of our invited guests. They were very young children when the terrible event of those years overtook them. After all, back then, in those harsh days, they so wanted a simple and carefree childhood, a peaceful blue sky above their heads, but the war put them in conditions of daily survival, fear and hunger. Women shared their incredible stories, memories of how they dreamed of eating bread to their heart's content, rejoiced at a piece of cake, a cake made of potato peelings… Their stories about life in wartime touched children's hearts very much. Tears were in everyone's eyes ... The guys prepared poems about the war, expressively read them and presented gifts for our guests.
