"Patterned boots"

The Tatar folk ornament represents a bright and peculiar page of the artistic creativity of the people. Today the children learned about one of the Tatar folk crafts – Tatar patterned boots (ichigi), that the craftsmanship is known only in Tatarstan and no one in the whole world owns this ancient craft. The young participants plunged into the world of folk art with great enthusiasm, decorating the patterns of ichigs with watercolor paints and a brush.
