"The Call of the White Cranes"

The White Cranes Festival is designed to strengthen friendly relations between the peoples of multinational Russia. Every year on October 22, a huge number of people carry flowers to the memorials and graves of fallen soldiers and thank them for the peaceful sky above their heads. The children learned the history of the origin of this holiday, the tragic story of the Japanese girl Sadako, who became one of the victims of the atomic explosion in Hiroshima, and why these birds became a symbol of memory. The bright, emotional story did not leave anyone indifferent, and the guys gladly responded to the librarian's offer to make paper cranes in the origami technique.
