"Let's clean the planet of garbage"

he library staff conducted a survey action "Let's clean the planet of garbage" in order to draw the attention of the residents of the microdistrict to the problems of environmental pollution and littering the planet, to motivate them to separate collection of solid waste.

We were pleased that most of the residents are not indifferent to this problem and everyone is making their own contribution to make the waste less, and for this someone has already begun to collect waste separately; does not use plastic bags; buy food by weight, etc. And, for those who have not yet done this, we have distributed reminder leaflets “Reduce the amount of waste - replace them with reusable things!”.

Here's a list:

Replace disposable items with reusable ones: bags for cloth bags, string bags or bags, glasses for thermo mugs and bottles, instead of buying food in plastic containers, carry lunch in lunch boxes, etc.
Choose products in packaging that can be recycled: you can donate plastic labeled 1, 2 and 4.
Use rechargeable batteries.
Buy bamboo toothbrushes.
"No bag!": Refuse to pack dairy and other products in disposable bags at the checkout
Replace shampoo in plastic bottles with solid, paper-wrapped shampoo, or buy at the bottle. You can also buy shower gels and dishwashing detergents for bottling in your container.
Buy detergents in large containers (so as not to throw away many small ones) and pour them into a beautiful reusable dispenser.
Choose eggs in cartons.
Replace disposable dishes with glasses and plates made of household plastic, which you can use many times.
Donate unnecessary clothes to thrift stores.
Our team will hold such annual promotions. which will help change the consciousness of people, because even if only 5% of the world's population will help nature on this day, this will be enough to draw public attention to the problem of environmental pollution.
