“Born of the Revolution”

For the anniversary of a man of amazing fate - Nikolai Alekseevich Ostrovsky, a new exhibition, “Born by the Revolution,” was organized in the cycle of thematic shelves “Book on the Screen”. The exhibition presents various editions of the novels “How Steel Was Tempered,” “Born of the Storm,” and books about the life and work of the writer.
      The image of Pavka Korchagin became the personification of courage, dedication, strength of mind, an example for young men and women of many generations. Hundreds of people in extreme situations in this book have found for themselves a life-saving medicine that helps to survive "even when life becomes unbearable ...". During the life of Nikolai Alekseevich “How steel was tempered” was reprinted 41 times. In 2019, the novel turns 85 years old. This is a hymn to a strong spirit person who did not break under the pressure of circumstances, but continued his just cause.
       During the day, all visitors to the library participated in the discussion of the book and the film of the special unique fate “How steel was tempered” and the heroic life of its author. The event included loud readings of excerpts from the novel.
 When asked whether the personality of the author of the novel for Russian youth is a role model, all participants in the meeting unanimously answered that the willpower of Nikolai Ostrovsky deserves admiration and respect.
