The meeting is dedicated to the novel "My Lieutenant" by the legendary writer, participant of the Great Patriotic War D. A. Granin, the book of the jubilee of 2021, the book of the winner of the national literary award "Big Book".

Participants will get acquainted with the pages of biography and creativity, with bright events in the fate of the writer; excerpts from the book will be read, everyone will be able to share their point of view on the events described by the author; they will listen to information about the facts of military operations seen through the eyes of a simple lieutenant, everyday details of front-line life. Fragments of newsreels, the documentary " Daniil Granin. Confessions", excerpts from feature films created based on his works and a video speech in Berlin at a solemn ceremony in memory of the victims of Nazism, will complement the event and help to better understand the writer's appeal to the military theme
