"Read to remember!" (as part of the XIV International campaign "Reading to children about the Great Patriotic War")

The war is gradually fading into the past, and the answers to all questions remain to be found in books that preserve the memory of past generations. They were written on the basis of living stories, diaries and front-line letters, and they all became literary "monuments" to people and events of the Great Patriotic War. We are sure that books about the Great Patriotic War must be read to the younger generation, through them to transmit memory, respect for the feat that our ancestors performed! Before the loud reading, a conversation was held with the children about the war years. The guys honored the dead and missing in the war with a minute of silence. In the second part of the event, students got acquainted with the book by Elena Ilyina “The Fourth Height”, which the author dedicated to the bright memory of her brother Samuel Marshak. This story is about the tragic fate of a heroic girl Guli Koroleva, who in her short life overcame four heights, and, unfortunately, the fourth height turned out to be the last for her.
