"The Great Sovereign of a great state" (on the 350th anniversary of the birth of Peter I)

On May 20, a historical lesson "The Great Sovereign of a Great State" dedicated to the 350th anniversary of the birth of an outstanding statesman, the All-Russian Emperor, the great reformer – Peter I.
The librarian told about the life of the emperor, about the state transformations that took place during the period, was held in the Arsky District Children's Library for students of the 6th "A" class of ASOS No. 1. his board. During the reign of Peter the Great, Russia changed beyond recognition: the country's borders expanded, the economy rose significantly, and the city of St. Petersburg grew up on the banks of the Neva River, which is still considered one of the most beautiful in the world.

Under Peter I, Russia took a big step in development. He was devoted to Russia, believed in its capabilities, and therefore he was not intimidated and could not be stopped by failures. Perhaps the most striking feature of his personality was his amazing diligence, which was always manifested. The indefatigable Peter the Great, who knew the value of time, demonstrated by personal example to the people that laziness cannot achieve success, only full dedication to the cause can bring tangible fruits necessary to achieve the goal.
