"Pages of courage and Glory" (as part of the XIII International campaign "Reading to children about the war")

The war is gradually fading into the past, and the answers to all questions remain to be found in books… Before the start of the loud reading, a conversation was held with the children about the war years. The guys honored the dead and missing in the war with a minute of silence. In the second part of the event, a fascinating story by Nikolai Bogdanov "Laika is not a pustolaika" from the collection "About the Brave and Skillful was read for children. The stories of a war correspondent", which left no one indifferent, as it tells about the friendship and bravery of a loyal and devoted friend of a man – a dog. Not many of us know that during the Great Patriotic War, along with the soldiers, our younger brothers fought. Four-legged heroes saved hundreds of thousands of human lives, perhaps some soldiers survived only because of their work and excellent performance of their duty. The guys listened with great interest to this story about the invaluable help of animals in the war, and then discussed what they had read and answered questions.
